General Notes about the way I work
My work usually motivates itself out of a strong erg to dive into a certain genre or language and work within its boundaries. Working while knowing that both I and the people who watches the work are familiar with the “rules” of the genre enables me to create quiet “anarchistic” acts through which I inspect my function and functioning in the world, while trying to say something about contemporary culture. I work mainly with large format cameras because I enjoy the long process it takes to create a single image, and also because I like to print my work on large scale. When creating a series of continuous shootings for later on combining into a video, I use a digital SLR and an editing software.
